How to Add a Blog Page

Although you don't need to have a blog to run a successful online directory business, adding a blog offers you the opportunity to post relevant content and articles on your site. Blogging can even help improve search results for your site.

The first part of adding a blog to your Ideal Directories site is creating a blog "Page" that will be used to link to your website's individual blog articles. Here's how...

(Once you've created the Blog Page, you can begin adding individual Blog Articles.)

STEP 1 - Create a new "Page" to display your blog articles

From the "Manage Pages" page, click on "Add Page." 

STEP 2 - Give the the new "Page" a name such as "Blog," or "Articles"

Enter it in the  "Name" field provided. Click "Save"

STEP 3 - Add teaser content from an article to the blog page

Here you can add "teasers" for the individual articles you publish by including an image, some text, and a link to the full article. Click on "Save."

STEP 4 - View your new blog page.

From the "Manage Pages" page, click on "View" next to the blog page.
